Describe the records clearly, with dates and identifying references. Staff may ask you to narrow or clarify a broad request before searching.
Investigative files, privileged communications, witness identities and protected personal information may be withheld or redacted. A public court docket does not make the entire internal prosecution file public.
Filed court documents belong with the Superior Court; original police reports generally belong with the agency holding them. The response and explanation of any limits will appear in your private thread.
