The Los Santos County District Attorney’s Office reviews referred matters and represents the People in court. Prosecutors assess evidence, identify further enquiries, prepare appropriate filings and keep a record of decisions. Allegations are not findings of guilt.
The Office includes Intake & Filing, Criminal Prosecutions, Special Prosecutions, Investigations, Victim Services and Administration. Assignments follow the needs of each matter; sensitive files remain limited to authorised personnel.
Fair review includes evidence supporting an allegation and material calling it into question. Appropriate disclosure, reliable records and professional witness communication are part of the work.
The Superior Court acts independently. The Office does not issue warrants, decide guilt or vary judicial orders.
